Responsibilities
Serve as the primary First Assist during surgical procedures, providing direct support to surgeons.
Prepare the operating room and assist with positioning patients for optimal surgical access.
Utilize advanced skills as a First Assist to handle surgical instruments, provide exposure, control bleeding, and suture incisions.
Maintain a sterile field and uphold all infection control protocols throughout procedures.
Collaborate closely with surgeons and the surgical team to ensure efficient, safe, and successful surgeries.
Required Qualifications
Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) or equivalent credential.
BLS Certification.
Two years of recent experience as a First Assist in a surgical setting.
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and adaptability skills.
