Working in travel healthcare can be both incredibly rewarding and uniquely challenging. With so many moving pieces - contracts, licensing, locations, and more - it's easy to feel overwhelmed. That's where a knowledgeable recruiter can make all the difference. At TotalMed, we're lucky to have dedicated recruiters who go above and beyond to guide our travelers every step of the way.

Danny, one of our experienced recruiters, is here to share his top advice for registered nurses navigating the world of travel healthcare. From staying flexible to being proactive, his insights can help you stay competitive and confident throughout your journey.

  • The best advice I can give a RN right now is that they have to be extremely open on pay, shift and location, otherwise your gonna be putting yourself in a small box with not very many options.
  • Also being on top of the ball on getting your profile made helps considerably. If you’re not one of the first people submitted, you’re not going to get the position. So having your profile made and ready to submit helps considerably.
  • Trust that your recruiter understands what’s going on and that we’re hurting as well with everything going on.
