Responsibilities
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments accurately via phone and in person
Provide patients with clear instructions regarding visit preparation, referrals, and insurance requirements
Confirm appointments and manage scheduling work queues
Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
Coordinate provider schedules and optimize appointment templates
Communicate effectively with physicians, technicians, and front desk staff
Address patient inquiries in a professional and courteous manner
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Assist with coverage and additional administrative tasks as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous medical scheduling or healthcare experience preferred
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and manage high call volumes
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
