Travel Nursing Assignment Reimbursements

TotalMed already has the very best benefits offered in all of the travel nursing industry, but did you know that we reimburse for scrubs, certifications, and licenses?

Travel Nursing Assignment Reimbursements can be tricky, and as you can imagine, we receive many requests and we hope that the guidelines listed below will make it simpler to understand as we know it can be very confusing.

Here is how it works:

For each 13-week assignment the traveler completes, TotalMed Staffing will reimburse any State License irrespective of cost and will also reimburse any Certifications, or scrubs required for the assignment up to $300.

  •  TotalMed Reimburses for the state license with the following parameters
      • TotalMed is the first company the clinician is traveling or working for in the state (licensure only)
      • The license was issued < 60 days of the clinician’s assignment start date
      • Receipts are submitted to TotalMed within 14 days of the clinician’s start date
      • The clinician completes a 13-week assignment with at least 468 hours of work
  • TotalMed Reimburses Certification renewals providing:
      • The certification is required for the position the traveler is working or for which as accepted an assignment
      • The certification was issued < 30 days of the clinician’s start date, or during the assignment
      • Receipts are submitted to TotalMed within 14 days of the clinician’s start date or completion of the certification
      • The clinician completes a 13-week assignment with at least 468 hours of work
  •  TotalMed Reimburses for scrubs providing:
      • The scrubs are required for the unit in the hospital for which the traveler has accepted an assignment (for instance, the ICU unit at General Hospital requires maroon scrubs).
      • The scrubs were purchased < 30 days of the clinician’s assignment start date, or during the assignment
      • Receipts are submitted to TotalMed within 14 days of the clinician’s start date
      • The clinician completes a 13-week assignment with now fewer than 468 hours
  • License and certification reimbursements will be paid on the final check
  • A reimbursement request must be sent to your recruiter and must include the following:
      • The actual request
      • Name of traveler
      • Date contract started
      • Date contract ends or ended
      • Copies of the receipts
