Take those exhilarating telephone orders from physicians and master the art of transcribing them accurately onto records, charts, and care plans. And hey, it's not all work and no play; you'll even get to explore the fantastic medical inventory – can you say "medication treasure hunt"?

But that's not all! As an RN, you'll be like a health superhero, conducting superhero-worthy physical assessments of residents, addressing their needs, and delivering the care they deserve. Whether on admission, transfer, or discharge, you'll impact their lives.

Duties Include:

Administers medications/treatments as ordered by the Physician and according to policy and procedures.

Takes telephone orders from physicians and transcribes orders to new medication administration records, the pre-printed physician order sheet, resident chart, and treatment/care plans as appropriate.

Maintains & orders appropriate inventory of resident medications and medical stock supplies.

Conducts accurate physical assessments of residents, determines their needs, and implements appropriate interventions to meet those needs.

Performs assessments on admission, transfer, and/or discharges.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current license as Registered Nurse OR LPN in the State of Hawaii required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviation required.
  • First Aid and CPR preferred (can be done in-house).

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • License/Certifications: RN or LPN
  • 2 years of recent Acute Care experience
